Design Manager

Mentor Graphics tools package includes many separate applications. Almost all the applications can be invoked under cshell environment. Design Manager provided another way to run these applications. Every application has its icon under Design Manager tools window. You can run it by just double clicking.

More than a set of application tools, Design Manager helps you manages your designs by displaying each design object as a single, distinct icon. Each application is associated with one or more kinds of files. These files can be a schematic, layout cell ot VHDL design program, which are named as design objects. As a  result, you need not know the details of which files and directories compose the object.

Due to the system safety, the files under /mg are not readable by users. However, we do need copy some files from its directory. Design Manager provides you commands to copy and to move design objects.
