Staffa is the winner of the Ch. Cicero Gus, UDT cup for 2003. This WSSCA's award for the top Welsh Springer competing at the Open or Utility level in AKC obedience.

Staffa earned her first three points in Indianapolis in February, 2001 (photo by Booth Photography). She followed that up with a five point major, going Best of Winners at the WSSCA supported entry in April, 2001 under breeder-judge Susan Riese. The next day, she was Reserve Winners Bitch at the WSSCA national specialty AND she earned a qualifying score in Novice B, her first time in the obedience ring. She finished her CD in her next two trials. Staffa had her first litter in December 2001, and her second in December 2004. She earned her CDX with 3 qualifying scores in 4 trials, including being highest scoring WSS in trial on Saturday of the National Specialty weekend in 2003. She earned her Canadian CD in a single weekend, taking first in the Novice B class in three trials and third in class in the fourth. She was the only Novice B dog to qualify in all four trials. She earned her WD with only two days of prior exposure to live game birds. The Versatility Certificate awarded by WSSCA recognizes her accomplishments in conformation, obedience, and field competition. Staffa likes to play frisbee.

Staffa was bred by Anne Legare of Oxford, Maryland. I have admired her mother's elegance since I saw her at the National Specialty in Wisconsin in 1995, and feel fortunate to have a Blenny puppy.
