Cara is from our first litter, due on New Year's Eve 2001. "First Footin" is a Scottish tradition of visiting friends on New Year's Eve. It fits with being our first litter, with her sire's name (Still the One), and with her outgoing temperament. Cara earned 4th in the puppy group (10 breeds competing) at age 6 months and finished her AKC championship with 4 majors. Cara was Best in Sweepstakes at American Spaniel Club 2003, over an entry of 25. (Thanks to judge Betty Cummings for noticing Cara.) She also earned 5 points towards her Canadian championship, including taking Best of Winners at the WSS Club of Canada booster in 2003 (photo above). Cara has two legs towards her AKC Companion Dog title, and was Highest Scoring WSS in Trial at the WSSCA 2004 National Specialty. Cara has abnormal myelination of the optic nerves and has been spayed.
