The phasing in of a new curriculum is always a source of confusion, I have tried to update the flow chart below to the best of my ability, however I am sure that there are still a number of unresolved flaws.
Please do not accept this as the final flow sheet, however as a starting point for review, argument, discussion and correction. I am following Ken Halliday's approach that the 4 year program is based on students entering the program with math placement for MATH 263A. The yellow represents those courses that have a significant lab component. A new item added to the flow sheet (11/27/07) represents the quarters in which a specific course is taught, thus F,W,Sp,Su respectfully represent Fall, Winter, Spring, and Summer. Noticc that some items are missing and some are not logical. This will be updated as more information becomes available.
