Alayna and Audra On Stage
Recording artists Audra and Alayna visited the studios of Power 105 (WXTQ) in Athens, Ohio on January 20, 1998 as part of their current radio station tour. Audra and Alayna talked with Lander Rose on the air and provided some Live renditions of songs from their CD. It was announced that they would be playing in uptown Athens at Bill & Beki's Night Court later that evening. Their radio tour is taking them accross the country to the 60+ radio stations that are playing their CD. Their current hit "Tell me" is climbing the charts and has entered the Top 40 on one of the lesser known airplay charts. The big-name charts don't seem to know who Audra and Alayna are but I bet they soon will. Their music is quite good and after seeing them live I can say they are as good in person. Nah, they're better! I gave them a call while they were at WXTQ and made arrangements to take pictures of their performance. I dug my camera out of the dust and got ready. Thankfully, I still remembered how to use it! (Ha Ha) Arriving early I chatted with Bill (of Bill and Beki's) and had some refreshments. People started to wander in a little later and for the most part had not really heard of Audra and Alayna. Some of us had and were ready with our CDs and paper or whatever could be autographed.
Audra and Alayna took the stage shortly after 9 PM and performed "Tell me" to a small but very attentive audience. More people began to wander in as the two sisters (twins) continued to perform songs found on their CD. After taking a break to meet some of their fans and listening to the people taking part in the tradional Karaoke night activities they prepared to return to the stage. Local talent Jason Phelps took the stage first and set the mood for their return.
By the end of the evening, people were completely into the performances and crowded around to get autographs and their own copy of the CD.
This page is a work in progress and will take time to develop so keep checking back. Please feel free to visit the guestbook and leave messages for others to see! Audra and Alayna have their own homepage at www.audraandalayna.com One last thing, I hope that I've kept you straight (Audra and Alayna).
