Biomedical Engineering Research - Dr. Mehta's Group

Dr. Mehta's group is involved in research related to biomolecular/genetic engineering, biomaterials and biomechanics. The primary emphasis is on image processing using MRI, CT, Ultrasound, and other scanning devices to create anatomically correct 3D models of the human bones. These models are being used to design protective devices, implants etc. Biomolecular modeling techniques are use to design new proteins and new biomaterials. The research is being carried out in collaboration with Edison Biotechnology Institute, Biological Sciences, The Medical Center and other departments and colleges at Ohio University.
