Guidelines for Customer and Benchmark Presentations

·       Semi-formal presentations (but content and effort will be primary determinants of grade, feedback on presentation will be mostly formative)

o      5-10 minute presentation

o      Prepared with input from the entire team

o      Presented by 1 member of each team

o      Followed by discussion - any team member can be questioned

Points to consider including:

·       Proposed refinements / changes to needs statement

·       Highlights concerning "customers", The Interview Guide, The Observation Guide, initial interview and observation data, future plans (immediate as defined in Project Requirements worksheet, long term plans for customer input throughout process)

·       Benchmark info - existing products that meet similar need or have systems adaptable to meet part of need

·       Patent info - any intellectual property issues?, ideas from patents?,

·       Standards that apply
