Executive Summary style report:

· Audience: Internal decision maker, aware of company's interest in projects that address the energy situation, but not familiar with the specifics of your proposal

· Purpose: Influence the decision maker to support your project

· Style: Clear, concise, to the point - just enough info to understand the key arguments

· Follow guidelines for crafting a good argument

Guidelines:

Highlight "Sellable" features

· Link to customer requirements (what people are willing to buy)

· Compare with benchmarks and patents to clearly show the opportunity

Clearly define the intended scope of your effort (be very specific in terms of what you will focus on - it must be feasible to be approved)
