Design process demonstration:

Goal: Determine methods for students and task groups (and teams?) to demonstrate good design process without creating busy work.

Decisions:

1) Primary demonstration via "justification for decisions" documented in the design report, with draft reports required to ensure the design methods are applied early in process. (Are multiple criteria considered and are available guidelines and methods used to refine the design?)

2) Additional demonstration in group presentations on decisions, both formal and informal in the weekly design team meetings. (Do they describe how the design methods influenced project?)

3) Additional demonstration via observations of teams discussing their designs (Do they exhibit good process?)

4) Individual accountability (to ensure all students participate in applying all design methods) will be evaluated via observations, peer ratings and performance reviews.
