Reasons why you would consider taking the Fundamental Engineering (FE) & Professional Engineering (PE) Exams:

– Most state, city and local agencies require a PE licensed engineer.

– Many states have passed legislation requiring engineers to be licensed if engaging in private practice.

– All 50 states require an engineering license before engineers may do consulting.

 

ET400: Details

Weekly seminars on topics followed by quizzes to help you review topics and develop test-taking skills.

The 2-credit class is CR/F.  You must pass 50% of the quizzes (short sample exams) to receive a grade of CR.  However, unlimited quiz retakes are usually allowed until a student receives the necessary points to get their CR.

Dr. Eric Steinberg (CE) administers the exam for NCEES - there will likely be an opportunity to take the FE in Athens in April.  Registration for the April exam begins in December. See the NCEES website for dates and details.
