Proof: Given the optimal trajectory TAC = TABTBC from A to C, then according to Bellman’s principle, TBC is the op-timal trajectory from B to C. Assume that some other tra-jectory tBC is the optimal trajectory from B to C. Then the trajectory TABtBC must be better than TAC . But this contra-dicts the original hypothesis that TAC is the best (optimal) trajectory from A to C. Ergo, tBC cannot be better than TBC. \ TBC is the optimal trajectory from B to C (QED).
