CIM is a concept of linking and coordinating a broad array of the activities of a business through an integrated computer system
Its purpose is to enable the company to transform product ideas into high-quality products quickly and at minimum cost
The concept is to integrate information from core manufacturing activities and possibly other areas of the business as well
