Group Assignment: Chapter 6
1. Prepare a fifteen-minute PowerPoint presentation (with the usual supporting documentation) on how a particular TNB facility is laid out. Each group should do a separate facility (e.g., a power station, an office(s), IKATAN, etc.) What drives the layout? Can improvements be made?
2. Solve the text’s line-balancing example (pp. 256-258) using the other two (heuristic) rules of thumb given on text page 256. Do different rules yield different solutions? If they do, which is best?
3. Solve text problem 8 (p. 270).
4. Solve text problem 11 (p. 271).
