Comments:   Thanks for your "On Three-Phase Reactive Power" article. I think that because you express the ideal sinusoidal voltage source and current source in cosine function is the key point. Many textbooks express instantaneous waveform in sine function, they lost in expressing instantaneous reactive power. I am studying Spiral Vector Theory that express voltage and current in spiral vector and its real part (cosine function!) is the instantaneous values. Both two solutions are the same in reactive power equations in three phase. Best Regards. Kempei, Seki

Comments:   Hey, Brian! Long time no talk to! See you survived the Africa thing, and from the looks of your homepage you still have the same old sense of humor :) So how the heck have things been? I hear from John once in a great while, but the messages are ususlly very short. Any idea how he's doing? I'm in the process of designing a new web page. The one I'm using right now probably would be better off in suck.com. Meanwhile, things are looking up. I got involved in a standards organization while back, (www.sisostds.org) and never realized how blasted political such things could be. Ended up getting back into IEEE after many years, but *this* time I'm controlling carefully the number of journals that pile up. When I bailed-out of IEEE and ACM in the mid-80's I was getting 23 of the blasted things and they were taking up a whole corner of my study. Now they're out in the garage - Don't have the heart to throw the things awsy, so one of these days maybe I'll add a library to the house and dedicate a corner of it to ancient technology as practiced by even more ancient engineers :) Well, better get off this computer thing and pay attention to the wife - she's due with our first baby about any time now, and doesn't like being ignored. Give'em Hell! Tom
