If the current source is 10 A. (DC), then vSS(t) is found by replacing the capacitor with an open circuit as shown below
Then vSS(t) = 2 W ´ 10 A. = 20 V. = vSS(0)
If the capacitor’s voltage is initially zero, then v(0) = 0 V. and the generic solution becomes:
v(t) = [v(0) - vSS(0)]e-t/6 + vSS(t) = [0 - 20]e-t/6 + 20 or: v(t) = 20(1 - e-t/6 ) V., t ³ 0 seconds
