The average power crossing the motor’s air-gap (from the stator into the rotor) is: Pg = Pin - |Is|2Rs

All of Pg is dissipated in (the rotor’s) Rr /s so Pg = |Ir|2Rr /s

Which yields the rotor copper losses: |Ir|2Rr = sPg
