Calculate the transformer’s voltage regulation and efficiency when it serves its rated KVA load at 0.8 lagging power factor
Ep = aEs = 2427/0.35° V. so that the magnetizing reactance’s current is:
Im = Ep/j1.55 KW = 1.56/-89.65° A. and the core-loss resistor’s current is:
IC = Ep/10 KW = 0.2427/0.35° A. so that (by KCL) the primary current is:
Ip = Is/a + Im + IC = 63.65A./-37.86° A.
