Quality Control Specialist:                American Showa, Inc., Sunbury, Ohio                                 (March 04-Present)

·          Responsible for maintaining  Honda transfer file information and tracking of warranty claims from  other customers

·          Responsible for evaluating warranty data for trends and warranty returns for failure modes

·          Responsible to work with production, maintenance, production engineering and research and development departments to implement countermeasures to prevent further failures in the components

·          Research Objective: Development of Energy Based Flight Controller and Stability Analysis

·          Developed a flight model in terms of controlled Hamiltonian and Lagrange equations.

·          Project Objective: Development of Cable Direct Driven Robot (CDDR)

·          Developed a dynamics model for a Cable Direct Driven Robot and simulated its motion using Matlab and Simulink.

·          Developed a 3D model of a robot using Autocad and supervised construction of a Cable Direct Driven Robot.

·          Designed a controller for the CDDR and implemented it in real world using Matlab, Simulink and Wincon software packages. (Video demonstration of CDDR available on http://www.ent.ohiou.edu/~jigar.

 

Robotics Intern:                                    Kids On Campus, Athens                                                    (Summer 2001, 2002, 2003)

·          Developed a robotics teaching program for middle schools kids for a six weeks summer camp.

·          Instructed about 300 kids in classroom environment to help them build and program LEGO Mindstorms Robotics Systems (Video clip available on http://www.ent.ohiou.edu/~jigar)

 

PROJECTS:

·          Developed equations of motion for a 3-link manipulator using Lagrange’s equation and designed a feedback controller to move mass between given points following given performance specification and Dynamic parameters of manipulator links and simulating the step response using Simulink and Matlab.

·          Modeled a process in a bio-chemical reactor, analyzed the stability of each equilibrium points, bifurcation characteristics and the qualitative behavior of the system.

·          Developed and simulated ladder logic program for tank level control, star delta starter control and seven segment display using Allen- Bradley SLC 5/03 and Simatic S5 PLCs.

·          Developed a CNC program for bowling pin prototype and implemented program on Sinumeric 810 CNC system.
