OBJECTIVE: To obtain a position in the field of Mechanical and Control Systems, Robotics, PLC and/or CNC and bring value to your company commensurate with my experience and
educational background.
EDUCATION: Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering,
Bachelor of
Mechanical Engineering,
WORK EXPERIENCE:
Quality
Control Specialist:
American Showa, Inc.,
·
Responsible for maintaining Honda
transfer file information and tracking of warranty claims from other customers
·
Responsible for evaluating warranty data for trends and warranty returns
for failure modes
·
Responsible to work with production, maintenance, production engineering
and research and development departments to implement countermeasures to
prevent further failures in the components
·
Research Objective: Development
of Energy Based Flight Controller and Stability Analysis
·
Developed a flight
model in terms of controlled Hamiltonian and Lagrange equations.
·
Project Objective: Development of Cable Direct Driven Robot (CDDR)
·
Developed a dynamics model for a Cable Direct Driven Robot and
simulated its motion using Matlab
and Simulink.
·
Developed a 3D model of a robot using Autocad and
supervised construction of a Cable Direct Driven Robot.
·
Designed a
controller for the CDDR and implemented it in real world using Matlab, Simulink
and Wincon software packages. (Video demonstration of CDDR available on http://www.ent.ohiou.edu/~jigar.
·
Developed a robotics teaching program for middle schools kids for a six
weeks summer camp.
·
Instructed about 300 kids in classroom environment to help them build
and program LEGO Mindstorms Robotics
Systems (Video clip available on http://www.ent.ohiou.edu/~jigar)
PROJECTS:
·
Developed
equations of motion for a 3-link manipulator using Lagrange’s equation and
designed a feedback controller to move mass between given points following
given performance specification and Dynamic parameters of manipulator links and
simulating the step response using Simulink
and Matlab.
·
Modeled a process
in a bio-chemical reactor, analyzed the stability of each equilibrium points,
bifurcation characteristics and the qualitative behavior of the system.
·
Developed and
simulated ladder logic program for tank level control, star delta starter
control and seven segment display using Allen- Bradley SLC 5/03 and Simatic
S5 PLCs.
·
Developed a CNC
program for bowling pin prototype and implemented program on Sinumeric 810
CNC system.
