Welcome to the official Electric Bobcat Race Team website.  We are a student-run group at Ohio University that currently races in the University Consortium of Electric Vehicle Racing Teams (UCEVRT) Formula Lightning series.  For more information, see one of the categories below.

We are looking for more people to join the Electric Bobcat team!!

We WILL be meeting throughout the summer. Our meetings will be held Wed. at 4:00pm behind Stocker all summer long. Walk to the backside of the building, and you will see where we are working. If you have any questions, please feel free to E-mail me.

6/25/2008: We took measurements and made templates for the plates and brackets that will hold the motor and transmission together. Once these plates are made and bolted in place, we will weld a few additional supports in to hold everything secure. This should be the last modification needed before we are finally able to start bolting and wiring things up. ETA of startup - sometime soon!

March 2008 - After years of this program being at idle, we have re-started the program and are currently in the process of figuring out where the last team left off. We have begun to recharge all the batteries and are taking inventory to see what we need to get this car back on the track! Check back frequently for more updates!

4/13/2004: We have decided to replace the Hewland 4 speed transaxle with a direct drive quick-change differential.  We feel this will give us the best combination of reliability, performance, and ease of use.
