Analog Input Module

Locally Powered Isolated Analog Input

Remotely Powered Isolated Analog Input

Non-Isolated Analog Input

Brief Description

The analog input module is one of the most versatile modules in the system. It can be either optically isolated with two different power options, or non-isolated. Also, the A/D module can be a less expensive PIC16C710 which will allow for simple digital filtering, or a discrete A/D that can have the input voltage scale adjusted to suit the measured device. A brief functional block diagram is provided to describe the module as a whole system. Each block is a link to further explanation of each sub-circuit.

Power Requirements

Isolated 5 V

11 mA

Non-isolated 5 V

3.5 mA

(These values are purely theoretical at this point)
