Ohio University, chartered in 1804 by the First General Assembly of Ohio,
is a symbol of America's early realization of the importance of
education. The University's commitment is perhaps best indicated by the
motto above the main gate to the campus, which reads, "So enter that
daily thou mayest grow in wisdom, knowledge, and love." The Fritz J. and
Dolores H. Russ College of Engineering and Technology's multimillion-dollar
C. Paul Stocker
Endowment provides many benefits for faculty enrichment, student
scholarships, endowed chairs, and funds for advanced research and
equipment for the College.
