The center maintains a small permanent staff of AIDC experts while having the capability to assemble a technically appropriate team for each specific education or research project.  As an interdisciplinary research center in in the Russ College of Engineering and Technology, the center has access to talented researchers and technical personnel throughout the various engineering and technology departments in the college.  For example, if expertise is needed in spread spectrum radio data transmission, expertise is available in the electrical engineering department.  As another example, if the project deals with adhesion of bar code labels to a particular surface, expertise is drawn from chemical and mechanical engineering departments.
